Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa is a brand-new luxury spa in the heart of north Miami.

We are proud to be the first and only authentic Turkish hammam in the United States. From our beautiful gobek tasi, to the marble kurna sinks, to the magnificent dome-shaped ceilings and hand-carved doors, each and every detail of Hürrem Hammam has been meticulously crafted with authenticity in mind.

In addition to traditional architecture and design, our 20,000-square-foot spa offers classic hammam treatments and amenities dating back to the Ottoman era: luxurious foam massages, kese mitt exfoliations, Platza treatments, peshtemals and more. 

These ancient bathing rituals are brought to life by artful presentations and performances, the same way royal elite were once entertained at the Imperial Harem of Topkapi Palace. Even our welcome drink is inspired by history – a tantalizing tea of hibiscus and honey, once favored by Sultan Hürrem herself.

Together these elements present an honest and immersive introduction to Turkish bathing culture, and the incredible healing benefits of hammam.

Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa takes its name from the most influential woman in Ottoman history, Sultan Hürrem.

Courageous, witty and charismatic, Hürrem rose from peasant girl to palace slave, to powerful Sultan, defying tradition at every turn – most notably, with her legendary romance to Sultan Süleyman I.

Known as “The Magnificent,” Sultan Süleyman and his beloved Hürrem presided over a golden age of arts, culture and architecture in the Ottoman Empire, expanding its borders and beautifying its cities with elaborate mosques, bazaars, libraries and more. It was during this time that Turkish baths truly flourished as community spaces, bringing together people of all cultures and classes for bathing, socializing, and pleasure-seeking.

Their most impressive achievement, however, was their love. 

Enchanted by her beauty and passion, Süleyman broke with tradition to free Hürrem from slavery and marry her. At a time when sultans held multiple wives and lovers, he remained loyal. She, in turn, became his most trusted advisor and the empire’s sole female voice in political affairs. The sultan even built her a private hammam on palace grounds – a shocking first – and adorned it with colorful Iznik tiles, heated marble slabs and floral fragrance. They shared six children, and would later be buried side-by-side. 

Over 500 years later, their astonishing romance lives on through Sultan Süleyman’s personal love letters to his beloved Hürrem, and her everlasting spirit.
